Effective Problem-Solving Learning in  Classical Services in the Classroom. Guidance and counseling (BK)  in schools is held to facilitate the development of students to be able to actualize their potential in order to achieve optimal development.   To achieve optimal development, the potential of learners needs to be facilitated through various components of education. One of them is the BK  service.  BK's current services are in the form of developing individual potentials.   The development of positive potential allows individuals to achieve self-actualization.

In the process of adjusting to being optimal, students need to be facilitated by educators,  including BK teachers or counselors.  The optimal adjustment will encourage students to be able to face problems such as personal, social, learning and career problems.  In the implementation of quality and effective educators by integrating the three components of the education system.  Namely the components of management and leadership,  educational learning, and the role of BK  bathing students.

Application of problem-solving methods in classical services according to Sani (2019: 243). Learning steps include: first, the educator explains the learning objectives.  Two, the teacher gives a problem that needs to be solved.  Three, the teacher explains the correct problem-solving procedure.  Four,  students look for supporting literature to solve problems given by the teacher. Five, students set out several solutions that can be taken to solve the problem.  Six, learners report on the tasks assigned by the teacher.

Advantages of problem-solving learning methods

The advantage of the problem-solving learning method, according to Sanjaya (2016: 220) is that the learning technique is good enough so that students better understand the content of the lesson.   Challenge students'  abilities and provide satisfaction to discover new knowledge for students.   Can increase student learning activities.  Helps students how to transfer their knowledge to understand problems in real life.  Considered more fun and likable to students.

A process of guidance services can be said to be successful if the student's competence can reach the required standards.   The problem-solving method approach in classical services is able to stimulate the development of students  ' thinking skills creatively and thoroughly, so as to improve the ability of students in solving the problem at hand.

The problem-solving method triggers students to use high-level thinking skills called HOT (Higher Order Thinking Skills) so as to encourage students to be able to solve the current problem-solving process faced.
