Scout education is one way of instilling character, shaping personality, and developing skills according to talents and interests. The Covid-19  pandemic has caused the learning process to be carried out online. Teachers and students must condition themselves to learn quickly about the technology that helps the learning process  of the learners. The child's ability to apply scouting values is very low. The process of pamong in scouting can only be done on a limited basis.  So that guidance cannot be optimal. The expected character education in scouting is only touched by independent assignments.   So the scout's identity cannot be fully applied.  The new normal situation in education has gradually begun to be restored with the presence of students in person.

Scout Implementation

The implementation in high school began to be held again every  Friday regularly according to the objectives of achieving the  2013  curriculum, which emphasized the achievement of scout competencies including (KI-1) spiritual attitudes, (KI-2)  social attitudes, and skills.  To achieve this goal, the implementation of scouting activities is carried out inside the school and outside the school, in order to hone and directly apply scout materials. which was obtained from participating in extra scouts online, turned out to be far from expectations. Many children cannot adjust to the environment,    cannot cooperate, and tend to be individuals.

From here, awareness is needed to restore the function of extra scout education that emphasizes the character of scout identity in building the younger generation. Extra Scout activities support the improvement of national conditions in the wake of covid-19.  To recover, rise and grow together to make Indonesia progress.  

It is necessary to return to the identity of the  Boy Scouts who emphasize the Trisatya and Dasadarma scouts.  To restore it must be emphasized on scout character education which is carried out in a civil manner in instilling scouting values.  The implementation of scout education has a basic task for young people, in order to grow the nation's shoots of character.  

The characteristics instilled in scouting are: 

1) God's love, 

2) Independence and responsibility, 

3) honesty, 4) respect and courtesy, 

5) Generous,  helpful and mutual aid, 

6)Confident and working hard, 

7) Leadership and justice, 

8) kind and humble, 

9) Tolerant, peaceful and united. 

The return of scouts' identity after the pandemic is crucial.    The character's emphasis on being responsible is very low when studying at home. This is where it is very important to train the responsibility of learners directly.  Being polite towards others is very important.

Learning online causes children to be unable to cooperate directly and causes many individual children.   No less important, civil service teachers must teach tolerance to students. Scout education plays an important role in shaping the character of students in the future.
